Barbara Studham is a writer who has documented her
twenty years of raising four grandchildren with fetal alcohol
syndrome. First she wrote about it in her blog at
and then in two memoirs, Two Decades of Diapers and Fetal
Alcohol Syndrome, the Teen Years. Her story is heart-rending, her
courage is remarkable, and her message is important. Studham credits writing with keeping her sane.
